Organization within the Golf Section

 

 

Within the Golf Section there are a number of sub groups.  There is a Mens Section, a Ladies Section, a Jubilee Course Section and a Cadets Section.  There is also a Mens Seniors Section on the Kings course and a Mixed Vets Section on the Jubilee course  These sections are not mutually exclusive, and individual members can be part of more than one section.. 

 

The Ladies Section welcomes new members as well as existing members to play in competitions as well as social golf, following guidelines set out by England Golf.  The section meets on Mondays, Saturday and Sundays (for business women – 7 day members) on the Kings Course for competitions and Thursdays for social golf throughout the year.

 

The Mens Seniors Section is open to all Members aged 55 and over. The section meeting on the Kings Course on Wednesday and this is generally regarded as seniors day.   The section also selects various teams throughout the year to play in both Essex County Competitions and ‘friendly’ inter club matches.  .

 

The Mixed Vets Section is open to all Members aged 55 and over.  The section plays on a Wednesday and Thursday mornings throughout the year.
