Succession of future Club Captains

A Past Captains Committee (PCC) was established to give assistance to future Captains when choosing their Vice Captain.

The PCC comprises of The Chair of the Advisory Committee, the current Club Captain and the three longest serving past Captains still playing at Three Rivers.  The PCC’s purpose is to identify club members they feel meet all the criteria to be a good Club Captain.

Criteria, amongst others, will include :

  • Do they want to be Captain?
  • Are they known to a large percentage of the club members?
  • Are they popular with the membership? and
  • Do they have the Club 100% at heart?

The PCC will then discuss with each identified member their suitability and desire to be Captain.  Once decided, the PCC will offer the various names to the incoming Vice Captain for consideration.  The Vice Captain at the time may suggest another member not previously considered and this member will be discussed by the PCC for onsideration.

The PCC will meet 2 or 3 times a year purely for continuity.
