Three Rivers and Stock Book Manor are sister clubs and for a number of years played each other in a friendly match for a trophy called the Challenge Cup. For some reason this abruptly stopped some 16 years ago.
However, on Saturday the 29th March to two clubs once again met to take up the challenge. Even the sun made a return for what was a great day for both clubs, especially as the competition founder Ted Langley was able to be there for to present the cup and awards.

The match was made more special as our resident MC’s; Gary Ambrose and Derek Briggs were there to announce the players on the 1st and 10th holes to get the match underway.

The match format consisted of pairs and singles, with both the ladies and mens sections represented.
Despite some very close matches, sadly Stick Brook Manor managed to gain the edge and eventually run out 329 to 307 winners on Stableford point to retain the trophy.
