Three Rivers Golf Members
Best individual score : Graham Stables.
Club Captain John Hatfield (L) presenting the Member of the Year trophy to Trevor Collett..
Best team score: Bill White (FL), Dave Harding (L), Jack Fisk (R) and Nick Fisk (FR)..
Monday 31 August saw the Club host a Fun Day competition on the Kings Course. With the weather at its best
some 64 players took part in a Stableford competition with prizes for best team score and best individual score.
After the game everybody enjoyed a splendid BBQ meal on the patio terrace.
The day produced some impressive scores: winners of the team event
with an average Stableford points score of 36.5 were Bill White, Dave
Harding, Nick Fisk and Jack Fisk. The stand out round of the day was
that of Jack Fisk ( a Cadet) who shot 1 under par gross for 43 points and
indeed was the lowest round of the day.
However, two of our other members managed to beat Jack’s points total
by two with equally impressive rounds.
Brian Collins managed to beat his age in terms
of shots which is a great achievement but still
not quite enough as Graham Stables won on
count-back with 45 points playing off 16!
Well done to all our winners but the main aim of the day was to get together with fellow
members and have some fun so in that respect it was a great success.
Our thanks to John the chef for a lovely BBQ meal, our 3R staff who looked after us
throughout our lunch on the patio and everyone who took part and respected the
Covid-19 restrictions.
With this being our first golf day in 6 months we
finally managed to present Trevor Collett with
the Club Member of the Year award (2019).
Trevor has been a great asset to the club and the Seniors Section in
particular, organizing competitions, club teams and events. He is
always willing to help and nothing is too much trouble for him, so thanks
to Trevor for a well deserved award.
Fantastic Fun Day
